About The Position

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities within the accommodation and food services industry. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs, to maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. The technician will proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues, minimizing downtime and preventing potential hazards. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and repairing equipment and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to the overall guest experience by maintaining high standards of facility quality and reliability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in maintenance work within the accommodation, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Proficiency in painting, plumbing, drywall repair, mechanical repair, carpentry, and electrical wiring.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and perform accurate measurements.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and work in various environments safely.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, and HVAC equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Conduct repairs involving carpentry, drywall, painting, and precision measuring to maintain the physical integrity and appearance of the facility.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, diagnosing issues accurately and implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to support compliance and operational efficiency.
