About The Position

Reports To The Facility Manager Responsibilities and Duties Perform tasks as assigned by the Facility Manager. Oversee, direct, and train Maintenance Helpers. Oversee subcontractors. Move and set up office furniture, and computer equipment when necessary. Perform maintenance on the roof top units, such as filter changes, grease bearings, and replace belts. Maintain and work from tickets generated by Fiix, our maintenance software. Grease forklifts, pallet jacks, exhaust fans, trash compactor, and cardboard balers. Oil the rollers, hinges, and chains on overhead doors. Clean out the exhaust ducts on the engravers. Clean and disinfect the icemakers. Maintenance of powder coat equipment. Maintenance of equipment in the Steel Prep Department, and assisting in the mechanical work on the equipment as needed. Rebuild and repair equipment in off-season storage to prepare for the next use cycle. Assist in the direction and oversight of subcontractors on-site. Maintain a clean and organized work area, and material storage area. Snow removal for sidewalks, man doors, emergency exits, and overhead doors. Application of ice melt.

Requirements

  • High school education.
  • Minimum of two years training in facility maintenance.
  • Minimum of two years experience in facility maintenance.
  • Strong trades skills and mechanical abilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Clean, neat, and professional appearance, and work practices.
  • The desire to learn and increase knowledge of our specific equipment.
  • The ability to climb ladders and some equipment, crawl, crouch, reach, balance, stoop, grasp, kneel, walk, push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Exerting force up to 100 pounds occasionally to push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • The ability to wear personal protective equipment as required to include, but not limited to, ear protection, safety glasses, face shield, hardhat, safety shoes, dust mask, respirator, and gloves.
  • Skillful use of hands.
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, and on irregular terrain.
  • The work may be in extreme temperatures and heights up to 30’, around equipment that is in operation, exposure to noise, fumes, vibration, and dust.
