Lucid Motors is seeking skilled and motivated Maintenance Technicians to join our Body in White (BIW) team on night shift. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving highly automated production equipment critical to our Body in White conveyors , assembly, and robotics operations. You will work hands-on with advanced mechatronics, robotics, electrical systems, and conveyance equipment to ensure maximum equipment uptime, safety, and reliability. This role will support 2nd shift which varies between 4pm - 5am .

Requirements

  • 4+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, or equivalent education/training.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings, schematics, and precision measurements.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills across: Electrical/electronic systems, Mechanical/machining systems, Automation/PLC/robotics, Laser welding & dispense systems
  • Able to analyze and troubleshoot equipment issues, determine root cause, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, highly automated environment.
  • Able to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all production and mechatronics equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production-down equipment quickly and efficiently.
  • Operate and repair every cell on a production line within Body in White.
  • Perform corrective maintenance on multiple equipment types, including: Electrical systems (24 VDC to 480 VAC, 3-phase),Mechanical and conveyance systems, Hydraulics and pneumatics, PLC/network controls and robotics systems
  • Conduct in-depth diagnostics, component replacements, and calibration on automation and mechanical systems.
  • Order necessary parts, supplies, and equipment through proper inventory/sourcing channels.
  • Document maintenance actions and communicate equipment status with production, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards—modeling safe work habits and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
