About The Position

Candidates must be able to repair, install, replace and maintain both mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as diagnose equipment failure and make repairs to equipment per manufacture recommendations and/or appropriate work instructions. Will work closely with Contractors to supervise satisfactory completion of necessary work.Main TasksEssential Functions: Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with safety requirements. Interpret and apply specifications such as drawings, schematics, ladder logic etc. Experience with Servo & VFD drives and programing PLC controls. Maintain appropriate records for work orders Responsible for ordering material, submitting receipts and reconciling through company portal. Dismantles electrical equipment and replaces faulty or defective parts in compliance with O.S.H.A., State and Local codes. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area and participate in shop clean-up schedules and projects. Operate all equipment in accordance with safety requirements. Maintain PM (Preventive Maintenance) program for equipment in the plant/production floor. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibility and Authority as Related to Quality: Ensure that quality standards are met. Lock Out -Tag Out. Stop processes if quality or safety standards are not met. Maintain spare parts of inventory for the plant. Identify/record any problems relating to the product, process, or the quality system. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition is corrected. Your ProfileEducation: Completion of a one-year industrial electrician course or equivalent. Experience: A minimum of two years’ mechanical and electrical experience is preferred. Training and/or experience with Polyurethane dispensing systems, hydraulics, machining, PLC programming.

Requirements

  • Completion of a one-year industrial electrician course or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years’ mechanical and electrical experience is preferred.
  • Computer skills are desirable.
  • Must have basic machine shop skills (Brightport, Lathe..)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions.
  • Must be able to physically lift and maneuver weights in excess of fifty pounds.
  • Must be able to work under physical situations that include standing, moving, climbing, lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling.
  • Have basic knowledge of O.S.H.A., State and Local electrical codes.
  • Must be willing to work non-standard hours as needed.
  • Travel may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Training and/or experience with Polyurethane dispensing systems, hydraulics, machining, PLC programming.
  • Preferred knowledge of SAP.
