We are seeking an aspiring Maintenance Technician who has the right attitude, aptitude, and experience to support our operations. As a maintenance technician, you will oversee periodic and preventative maintenance of equipment, repair equipment, and troubleshoot common issues. Maintenance actions include setup for product runs, troubleshooting, repairing, fabricating jigs, installing and/or modifying machinery/equipment calibrating and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic and/or mechanical systems; providing corrective actions as required, and supporting overall operations in general.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 2 to 5 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Mechanically inclined and capable of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of schematics, wiring and piping diagrams
  • Able to work in team-centered and individual contributor roles seamlessly
  • Adept at and enjoy problem solving
  • Self-motivated, dependable and goal driven – can do and will do attitude
  • Attentive to detail, precise, and strive to perform at your best in everything you do
  • Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with manual work, hand tools, and workshop safety

  • Possess functional mathematical ability including knowledge of fractions and decimals to perform basic math calculations and measurement computing using tape measure and/or micrometers

  • Perform fast-paced repetitive use of both right and left hands, including light-grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and carrying
  • Possess close visual acuity, near/far vision, and multiple limb coordination

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance certifications and/or Associate Degree in Maintenance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots Mechanical, Pneumatic, Electrical, and Hydraulic Systems to repair machine equipment during unexpected and planned downtime events
  • Ability to perform machine modifications and tooling fabrication in support of operational and process needs
  • Complete Preventative Maintenance schedule that ensures machine robustness, safety, and maximum uptime
  • Proactively analyzes machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems before they occur
  • Evaluate workspace safety on the production floor to ensure all equipment is functioning in a safe manner
  • Ensure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize unnecessary machine downtime
  • Maintain maintenance related records
  • Inspects buildings and other structures to identify and action maintenance repair actions
  • Performs minor carpentry and painting activities
  • Co-ordinate with outside contractors on equipment repairs and to source the most effective repairs and upgrades cost
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while completing tasks related to maintenance and/or repair.
  • Perform any other general labor duties as directed by supervisory personnel to ensure efficient operation of facility.
