About The Position

This position is responsible for safely providing maintenance support in our fast-paced Murfreesboro Container plant which is equipped with technology ranging from simple to state of the art in the corrugated industry. The candidate will utilize both mechanical skills and knowledge (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, lubrication) and electrical/electronic skills and knowledge (PLCs, A/C, D/C motors and drives, schematics) in our continuous process manufacturing environment to achieve machine uptime and reliability metrics. Must be a team oriented able to work positively with other maintenance members and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems. Will be engaged in preventative maintenance processes in assigned areas. This position will be assigned to 2nd or 3rd shift.

Requirements

Must pass the AON Hewitt test, a requirement for employment as a maintenance technician with International Paper.
Safety mentality is a must and reliability with attendance and quality of work is expected.
Strong knowledgeable of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, electrical and electronics technologies.
Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem solving skills.
Willingness to fully cross train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
Willing to be flexible and able to work second and third shifts, call-ins, holidays, and overtime as there is a constant demand for overtime in our maintenance department.
Systems oriented and able to work with computer systems for maintenance processes, stores and work orders.

Nice To Haves

Prefer successful mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing facility.
Maintenance experience in corrugated a plus.
