About The Position
The primary role of the Maintenance Technician is to assist with the maintenance program for the community and preserve the value of the asset. The Maintenance Technician assists in maintaining the community’s interior and exterior physical condition and is a customer service driven team player. Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Direct Reports: None Roles and Responsibilities The duties listed below are an outline of the Maintenance Technician’s responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the community change, these duties may be modified as needed.
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience with electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
- Must have excellent communication and people skills
Nice To Haves
- HVAC certification preferred
- Computer literacy preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, professional, and OSHA approved work environment
- Assist with the maintenance operations and repairs of the property
- Assist with monitoring inventory of parts and supplies
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Report time and attendance
- Make daily inspections of the community
- Understand and adhere to the Landmark Properties policies and procedures
- Ensure confidentiality of resident and company information
- Understand the needs and expectations of residents and exceed their expectations
- Develop a sense of community among the residents and staff
- Maintain active and effective communication with residents and parents
- Maintain an positive community environment for both residents and associates and encourage participation in events and activities
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with organizing and implementing a successful turn
- Ensure service requests are completed in a timely manner
- Be available on weekends and after hours for emergency calls
- Understand, communicate, and enforce community safety, emergency, and fire evacuations policies and procedures, providing emergency response and referral services and resources
- Document and address behaviors of residents that violate the law or the community lease agreement
- Identify and address safety and security risks
- Inspect the physical condition of the property and report any problems to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager
