About The Position
The Mill Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment in the mill. Work priorities are directed by the Maintenance Manager. This role ensures all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. This is a 2nd or 3rd shift opportunity.
Requirements
- Industrial maintenance experience (mechanical and electrical)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Able to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Experience with plasma cutters or torches preferred
- Forklift or Bobcat experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
- Work with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication systems
- Repair components such as bearings, gears, chains, pumps, and gearboxes
- Use CMMS to document work orders and parts usage
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
