This role is responsible for maintaining facility systems, utilities, and production equipment within our print and lettershop environment. The ideal candidate will have a blend of mechanical and electrical expertise, a strong commitment to teamwork, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to equipment and facility issues.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally print, mail, or related fields.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong teamwork mindset and ability to work collaboratively with operators, management, and external vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, climb, and work in fast-paced industrial environments.
  • High School diploma or GED required and five (5) year building maintenance experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements and safety precautions related to facilities management.
  • Must be well organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Able to read fine print.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and sales tax.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.
  • Must be able to life 30 lbs in repetition and 70 lbs. max.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all facility and utility systems.
  • Maintain and repair print and lettershop equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) on equipment and maintain accurate PM documentation.
  • Provide 24/7 support for urgent equipment or facility issues as needed.
  • Assist operators with challenging production jobs that require technical expertise.
  • Order, track, and maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors for installations, PM services, and repairs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Travel to vendor locations, training sessions, or sister facilities as required.
