About The Position

The Battery Systems Assembly Maintenance Technician Provides First Line Support for all Production Machinery and Assembly Machinery.

Requirements

• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of both hand and power tools
• Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) techniques
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Working knowledge of servo and stepper motors
• Working knowledge of Control Systems, PLCs, and HMI systems
• Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Practices
• Knowledge of SAP and CMMS systems
• Welding to include SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW
• Working knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out

Nice To Haves

• Five (5) or more years of experience as maintenance technician
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Technical Degree from an Accredited Technical Institute
• Working Knowledge of automotive industry
• Automotive manufacturing experience
• Experience with SAP
• Automated production line experience
• Manufacturing experience highly desired
• Knowledge of production robotics
• Knowledge of conveyor systems
• Familiarity with Lean work practices
• Preferred Mechatronics Background
• Preferred Electrical Background
• Preferred knowledge of Lithium based battery systems.

Responsibilities

• daily preventative maintenance
• repair, installation, and removal of parts from machines and equipment
• Logging and tracking of work, procedures as well as notating any abnormalities
• observing working machines, root cause analysis and working with engineers to solve problems
• diagnosis of machines, robots, PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, bearings, gears, and HMI systems
