Objective: Provide support to the entire Ziker team by performing routine preventative maintenance, equipment installation, and emergency repairs on various types of machinery and facilities, while also demonstrating a high level of respect for fellow employees. Essential Functions: Machinery & Appliances Maintenance: Manage the oversight and repairs of multiple industrial cleaning machines and various appliances throughout the production facility, retail stores, and administrative office. This includes the following: industrial sewing machines and steam presses, industrial washers and dryers, industrial sinks, an industrial boiler, and dry-cleaning machines, as well as fridges, freezers, bathroom and kitchen sinks, and toilets. Maintain a predefined preventative maintenance schedule and regular documentation and respond swiftly to any emergency repair needs. Facilities & Systems Maintenance: Conduct routine light maintenance in all retail stores, the production facility, and the administrative office. This includes the general oversight and repair of the following: paint, plumbing, minor electrical, furniture, ceilings, floors, walls, HVAC, fire alarms, doors, and locks. Ground Maintenance: Maintain the upkeep and optics of the stores, production facility, and administrative office by regularly engaging in the following: seasonal cleanup (i.e. leaves and snow removal), repairs to external building features such as walls, windows or rooftops, and trash pickup, pest control, minor landscaping. Common Area Cleaning: All employees will periodically be tasked with cleaning the common areas of the facility. This includes the breakroom and bathrooms, as well as the production floor. Immediately clean up any mess you make and be sure to restock any general use items that you empty (i.e., toilet paper, soap, etc.) Label and dispose of your personal food items as necessary and keep all other personal items in your locker during a shift. Safety & Cleanliness: Always follow equipment operation and safety guidelines, including but not limited to lock out/tag out, when utilizing power equipment or working on industrial machinery. Adhere to rules and guidelines designated by the company, OSHA, and other applicable safety guidelines. Utilize the designated walking areas to navigate the facility. Do not duck under railings and do not run within the facility. Maintain the cleanliness of your work area. Ensure that walkways are always free and clear to prevent trips or falls.
