About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing problems with all production and facility equipment. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure produced products are of the highest quality and safe. This role will require daily documentation pertaining to downtime, spare parts, and preventative maintenance performed. This role will also assist with equipment changeovers and production as needed. Requirements

Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting
Ability to operate basic to sophisticated hand tools and possess knowledge of safety procedures and practices
Fulfill physical requirements of the position including walking, standing, stooping and climbing
Able to lift a maximum of 60 pounds and stand for an eight-hour work shift
Flexibility to work flexible hours including weekends if necessary
Committed to quality, safety and communication- Excellent communication skills at a cross-functional level

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or G.E.D
Basic math skills required
Minimum 1-year experience in machine maintenance or trade school

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, replace and/ or overhaul all mechanical and electrical components
Perform and document routine preventative maintenance in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime
Assist Operators with product changeovers for assigned tasks to ensure minimal downtime
Ensure manufacturing equipment is producing quality and safe products
Adhere to safety processes to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Participate in continuous improvement process and provide suggestions
Lay-out, install, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of complicated electrical equipment such as motors, drives, and computer/PLC control systems
