About The Position

Bee Sweet Citrus is looking to hire a motivated, self-driven Maintenance Technician to join our packing house team. This position will be responsible for daily preventive maintenance, repairing equipment/machinery as well as all other systems associated with packing. This is a full-time position that will require availability from Monday through Saturday, day or night shift as required.
Bee Sweet Citrus provides ALL necessary tools for mechanics to perform their job including uniforms and personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to work long hours and be able to workday or night shifts.
• Ability to use logic, critical thinking, and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to work with grease, oils, and able to adjust and calibrate equipment.
• Knowledge of basic metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of basic welding skills for Stainless and Mild Steel; TIG, MIG and Stick welding.
• Must be able to quickly move your hands, arms, or grasp to manipulate, or assemble objects.
• Must have ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
• Must be able to think rationally and apply logic during high stress situations.
• Must be able to adhere to process protocol.
• Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
• Must be able to climb, lift, bend, and stoop regularly.
• Must be able to move or lift 20 lbs. or more.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair of machinery, mechanical equipment, electric motors, pumps, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, roll, belt, and chain conveyor systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair any facility maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on production equipment and systems.
• Ensure electrical systems associated with machinery and equipment (For example, 1-phase and 3-phase motor controls, A/C control circuits, D/C control circuits, and PLC I/O) are working properly at all times.
• Assist and/or complete welding projects on Stainless or Mild Steel.
• Operate various forms of shop equipment such as drill press, grinders, band saws, hydraulic press and other common tools.
• Conduct tests and/or inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
• Other duties assigned by management.
