Perform work involving the skills of maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve welding, carpentry, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, labelers, ink jet coders also preforming some building maintenance. Position Summary: Perform maintenance and repair work on machines, mechanical equipment, and facility structures to ensure safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Additional duties may include welding, carpentry, building maintenance, labelers, ink jet coders, and production line setup.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality standards
  • Basic math skills (arithmetic/algebra)
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
  • Experience using hand and power tools and testing equipment
  • Computer proficiency (CMMS systems/tablets)
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, hoists, and rigging
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive movements
  • Adequate vision and hearing to safely perform duties
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2–3 years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial mechanical equipment, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Technical training preferred.
  • GMP and OSHA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Set up and maintain production lines
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records
  • Follow SOPs, GMP, SQF, and safety standards
  • Maintain housekeeping and safe work practices
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members
