About The Position

Maintenance Technician Full Time $18 / Hour New Smyrna Waves by Exploria Resorts Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Property Manager. This position's role is to maintain all guestrooms and public areas to the utmost satisfaction of our guests and Exploria Company standards.

Requirements

Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or related field is required.
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must be punctual, dependable, and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work under pressure and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Communicate effectively in English
Work outdoors for extended periods of time
Constant standing with some walking.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

Construction experience preferred but not required
HVAC knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

Provides exceptional service to all guests and potential guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, manner.
Performs necessary repairs and preventive maintenance tasks in a manner responsive to guest satisfaction and to the preservation of Company assets in a safe, cost-effective manner.
Requires knowledge of maintenance skills.
Requires ability to handle all aspects of hotel/resort maintenance.
Requires general knowledge of building maintenance to include minor electrical repair, appliance repair, and plumbing.
Requires self-motivation and organizational skills.
Requires the ability to be available for emergency repairs
