The Maintenance Mechanic will troubleshoot and conduct repairs and preventive maintenance for injection molding machines and support equipment. Compensation Novolex is required by laws in many locations to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The compensation range considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20.00 to $28.00 per hour. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities: Perform mold changes. Troubleshoot and conduct repair for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems by following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments. Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning on production equipment and machinery. Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are conducted in compliance with OSHA, Federal, Local and plant safety standards. Must have have working knowledge of support systems, chiller, compressors. Report mold or machine deficiencies to management. Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs. Satisfactorily complete training courses as determined by management. Other tasks as needed or as assigned.
