About The Position

Maintenance Technician $1,500 Hiring Bonus - 4/10 work schedule (Mon-Thu, Fri - as needed ) Phillips Manufacturing is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Tampa! In this hands-on role, you'll inspect, test, install, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment throughout the facility. We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, has a strong understanding of basic electrical applications, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment. This full-time (non-exempt) position and is located at our Tampa, FL manufacturing facility. Requirements

Knowledge of industrial equipment, including mechanical systems, electrical components, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Ability to diagnose and repair primarily electrical and some mechanical issues in a manufacturing environment.
Skilled in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and using precision measurement tools.
Strong problem-solving, visual inspection, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing work in a fast-paced, industrial setting while adhering to safety standards and company policies.
Minimum 2 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipment including conveyors, motors, hydraulic systems, presses, and forming machinery.
Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operation.
Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to complete repairs and installations.
Uses hand and power tools, lifts, and hoists as needed, works at heights or in confined spaces, and maintains clean, organized work areas.
Follows all safety protocols, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout, and documents completed work.
Regular attendance and flexibility for overtime are required.
