About The Position

Maintenance Technician $1,500 Hiring Bonus - 4/10 work schedule (Mon-Thu, Fri - as needed ) Phillips Manufacturing is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Tampa! In this hands-on role, you'll inspect, test, install, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment throughout the facility. We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, has a strong understanding of basic electrical applications, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment. If you enjoy troubleshooting, solving problems, and being a key part of keeping operations running smoothly-this job is for you. This full-time (non-exempt) position and is located at our Tampa, FL manufacturing facility. Requirements

  • Knowledge of industrial equipment, including mechanical systems, electrical components, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair primarily electrical and some mechanical issues in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skilled in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and using precision measurement tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, visual inspection, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing work in a fast-paced, industrial setting while adhering to safety standards and company policies.
  • Minimum 2 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipment including conveyors, motors, hydraulic systems, presses, and forming machinery.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operation.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to complete repairs and installations.
  • Uses hand and power tools, lifts, and hoists as needed, works at heights or in confined spaces, and maintains clean, organized work areas.
  • Follows all safety protocols, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout, and documents completed work.
  • Regular attendance and flexibility for overtime are required.
