We are seeking a Part-Time Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team at our 186,000 sq ft hospital facility in Dickinson, ND. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level candidate to gain valuable experience, with comprehensive training provided. As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors within our building. You will work under supervision to perform a variety of essential maintenance tasks, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and address work orders across the facility to ensure optimal functioning of all building systems.
  • Self-perform smaller maintenance items and complete weekly and monthly preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain all aspects of the facility, including troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Conduct maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, chillers, boilers, and water heater systems.
  • Adhere strictly to all Infection Control protocols to maintain a sterile and safe environment.
  • Assist in maintaining clean and orderly buildings, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
  • Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
