The company employs c.4,100 employees across North America (1,600 employees) and Europe (2,500 employees) The role The Maintenance Team is looking to fill the Maintenance Technician role at its Shelbyville, Kentucky, facility. This is a Night shift position 2/2/3, every other weekend. 7 PM to 7:30 AM As a Maintenance Technician at IPLS, you will: Performs preventative maintenance. Respond to daily priorities within the maintenance department. Identifies potential equipment problems and corrects them. Maintains equipment in a manner that does not impede the production process. Prepares plant equipment and facilities for production. • Responds to equipment failures or facilities problems in a timely and professional manner. Informs the manager or lead when critical replacement parts are used from inventory. Troubleshoots equipment and recommends corrective action. Identifies equipment problems promptly and accurately. Implement contingency plans for keeping production running. Maintains work areas to keep them free of trip hazards and other safety issues. Ensures tools and auxiliary equipment are returned to their proper place after a job or project is completed or after a mold change is complete. Clean the machinery as necessary. Comply with safety standards. Lockout/tagout procedures are always followed. OSHA safety standards are always complied with. Other duties as assigned. What you will bring to the role: Associate degree in Maintenance Technician or related field. (Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirements.) 5+ years of experience in Injection Mold design and processing, preferably in the plastics industry. Ability to work with a variety of outside contractors. Essential experience and skills: Experience as a Maintenance Technician in the plastics industry is preferred. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Safety and Quality Standards. Basic math skills. Forklift operations. Basic mechanical skills General computer skills Crane operations. General maintenance skills. Problem-solving skills. Must be able to work at heights. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment that is aggressive and fast-paced. Must respond to frequently changing priorities. Injection Mold is a plus.
