About The Position

Sigvaris is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Peachtree City, GA. As a leading compression solution provider, we are not just a company that manufactures products. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible in identifying and executing effective solutions for improvements in safety, quality, productivity and cost to support the achievement of the Company's business goals and objectives. SHIFT: • Monday to Friday • 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience; Strong pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
  • Working knowledge of air compressors, generators, boilers, water softeners and industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively maintains preventive maintenance on building, equipment and property.
  • Accurately completes fulfillment of ISO forms related to maintenance.
  • Works with all Supervisors/Managers to assist in repairs and maintenance within budget.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies; places and expedites orders; verifies receipts.
  • Work with Industrial Engineer and safety committee to improve and sustain a safe work environment.
  • Follows established procedures and guidelines that assure compliance with SIGVARIS policies, industry standards, ISO 13485, Federal, State and local laws.
  • Coordinates with department Supervisors/Managers any new equipment installations and changes to the building.
  • Supports the SIGVARIS quality system and quality policy by following work instructions, procedures and the fulfillment of required forms to meet all internal and external requirements.
  • Perform maintenance/repairs of equipment in sewing, boarding, and dyeing departments.
  • Perform maintenance with facilities and support equipment when needed. These items can be anything from light bulbs , ceiling tiles, bathroom fixtures, etc.
  • Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.
  • Interacts with external and internal customers in a manner conducive to continued positive relationships.
  • Displays patience, courtesy and tact; demonstrates flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to cooperate while working with others or in place of others as necessary.
  • Demonstrates effective communication methods.
  • Supervisor and/or appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions.
  • Responds quickly to all oral and written communications.
  • Maintains and encourages an open line of communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Accurately and legibly presents written data to affected internal/external customer.
  • Follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SIGVARIS policies, industry standards, ISO 13485 standards, 6S and Lean Manufacturing, and Federal, State and local laws.
  • Assists with the implementation of Lean/Kaizen initiatives or events in all manufacturing areas.
  • Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements to support the SIGVARIS Quality System and Quality Policy.
  • Accurately performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
