The Morristown II Lux Doors is actively searching for a Maintenance Technician for our Morristown II location.

Requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience working as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial environment.
  • Experience working on electrical systems up to 480 volts.
  • Able to demonstrate use of electrical meters and all of their functions
  • Must have knowledge of 3 phase voltage and how to troubleshoot
  • Must have knowledge of DC theory and know how to troubleshoot
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical concepts.
  • Experience working with Shop equipment, wood, metal and/or sheet metal.
  • Good trouble shooting skills.
  • Able to troubleshoot to component level
  • Able to climb and use ladders.
  • Carry or maneuver 50+ pounds.
  • Able to maneuver in confined spaces; twist, bend, stoop, or stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to have manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Be able to be certified to drive a forklift.
  • Must be able to read and understand equipment manuals
  • Must be able to verbally communicate with other members of the team
  • Must have good written skills
  • Able to logically process thoughts
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Robotic training a plus
  • HVAC and Pipe Fitting experience a plus.
  • Experience with boilers, Environmental Chambers and CNC Mills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Works safely in the facility and notifies appropriate person of unsafe practices or conditions and follows up to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
  • Able to troubleshoot, identify failed components and repair electrical equipment.
  • Understand and troubleshoot DC voltage up to 24 VDC. Repair to component level.
  • Understand and troubleshoot AC voltage up to 480 VAC. Repair to component level.
  • Performs preventative maintenance functions in order to improve machine output and performance.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed
  • Must be willing to work Saturday as needed
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems.
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to determine defective items and repairs needed.
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery to detect or prevent wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Detects equipment malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Realigns and adjusts equipment and components.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
