About The Position

The Maintenance Technician supports production operations by ensuring the optimal performance of manufacturing equipment. This hands-on role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and repairing production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery
• Ability to use shop tools and equipment, drill press, shop grinders, welders, oxy-acetylene torch
• A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• A strong trouble shooting and problem solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude
• Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings
• Must be fully computer literate with Microsoft environment
• Strong written and oral communication
• Organization and attention to detail

• Electrical certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintaining company-owned machinery and equipment in proper working order
• Performing on-call emergency repairs
• Taking control of breakdowns
• Executing a plan of continued improvement of machine safety and general housekeeping
• Working with crews to complete all preventative maintenance
• Working with machine operator to troubleshoot and determine root cause of mechanical issues
• Responding quickly to maintenance requests and prioritizing effectively
• Working hand in hand with Maintenance Manager to resolve any accident waiting to happen forms
• Working as a team to maintain organization and inventory of maintenance shop and tools
• Duties may vary depending on location
