Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air-operated production equipment including brake presses, metal shear presses, punch presses, and roll form machines. This role focuses on pneumatic systems, mechanical reliability, and minimizing downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on: Brake presses Metal shear presses Punch presses Roll form machine
  • Troubleshoot and repair: Pneumatic systems (primary focus) Electrical systems (motors, sensors, limit switches, relays) Mechanical components (bearings, shafts, tooling, dies, guides)
  • Diagnose air-related issues such as: Air leaks Low pressure / inconsistent pressure Valve failures (solenoids, regulators, FRLs) Cylinder wear or failure
  • Quickly respond to breakdowns and restore equipment operation.
  • Read and interpret: Electrical schematics Pneumatic diagrams Mechanical drawings
  • Inspect equipment for wear, misalignment, and safety issues
  • Perform adjustments, calibration, and alignment
  • Maintain lubrication schedules and air system cleanliness
  • Work with production to prioritize repairs and reduce downtime
  • Support continuous improvement and uptime initiatives
