About The Position

The Regional Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs across all retail grocery store locations within assigned territory. This role ensures that key building systems, including HVAC, water filtration, and ice machines, are regularly maintained to promote efficient operation and store safety. The technician will also support the adoption of the Service Channel work order system and participate in ongoing training with the in-house maintenance team.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Prior maintenance experience required.
  • Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force repeatedly; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
  • Must be able to be on feet (standing and walking) for 6-8 hours a day.
  • Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Ability to identify problems, develop and execute solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with pneumatics, electronics, stainless steel, and hydraulics helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including: Replacing HVAC filters Changing water filters Cleaning and sanitizing ice machines Servicing and maintaining Reverse Osmosis (RO) water systems
  • Complete assigned maintenance work orders efficiently and document activities in the Service Channel system.
  • Assist in basic troubleshooting and minor repairs of equipment or systems to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Conduct routine inspections of store mechanical systems to identify issues before they escalate.
  • Travel daily or as scheduled to multiple store locations within assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with in-house technicians and leadership during Service Channel onboarding and implementation, including participation in virtual Teams meetings.
  • Communicate maintenance needs or major repair recommendations to the Store Management and Regional Vice President.
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment in a clean, organized, and service-ready condition.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
