About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance, as well as minor repairs, on company properties to ensure they are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires a versatile skill set, including knowledge in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in building maintenance or construction.
  • Proficient in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Ability to interpret safety regulations and maintenance guidelines.
  • Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Property Maintenance: Conduct routine tasks, including painting, flooring repairs, and drywall patching.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Perform property inspections to proactively identify maintenance needs.
  • Construction Assistance: Support make-ready processes and small construction projects.
  • Maintain tools and materials needed for maintenance and repairs.
  • HVAC Systems: Perform basic HVAC maintenance, such as filter replacements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and building codes in all maintenance and construction tasks.
  • Participate in safety training and create a secure work environment.
  • Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency repair requests, including after-hours calls as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Document all completed maintenance and repair tasks in AppFolio.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and tools.
