About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance, as well as minor repairs, on company properties to ensure they are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires a versatile skill set, including knowledge in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
2+ years of experience in building maintenance or construction.
Proficient in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Ability to interpret safety regulations and maintenance guidelines.
Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Property Maintenance: Conduct routine tasks, including painting, flooring repairs, and drywall patching.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and plumbing systems.
Perform property inspections to proactively identify maintenance needs.
Construction Assistance: Support make-ready processes and small construction projects.
Maintain tools and materials needed for maintenance and repairs.
HVAC Systems: Perform basic HVAC maintenance, such as filter replacements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and building codes in all maintenance and construction tasks.
Participate in safety training and create a secure work environment.
Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency repair requests, including after-hours calls as needed.
Record Keeping: Document all completed maintenance and repair tasks in AppFolio.
Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and tools.
