About The Position

Maintenance Technician – Southwoods Health Southwoods Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. Under the direction of the Director of Facilities & Maintenance, this role is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and TJC-compliant facilities. Essential Duties: Regulatory Compliance: Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, including The Joint Commission (TJC), Ohio Department of Health, and OSHA. Supply Management: Order, pick up, and deliver supplies across all Southwoods locations. General Repairs: Complete work orders including moving items, electrical repairs, and plumbing. Documentation: Maintain accurate logs for all duties, including OR temperatures, air exchange, and humidity. Systems Monitoring: Monitor and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and medical gas/vacuum systems. Facility Rounds: Complete regular rounds in all buildings and perform penthouse/maintenance room walk-throughs. Grounds Maintenance: Responsible for snow removal, salting walkways, and general grounds safety. On-Call Response: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for nights and weekends as assigned. Safety & Alarms: Perform oxygen manifold testing (PM) and liquid oxygen tank checks. Respond promptly to fire system, alarm panel, and line pressure alarms. Emergency & Drills: Assist with emergency maintenance responses, codes, and drills. Qualifications: Current, active driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and a reliable vehicle. Availability for variable shifts and participation in the on-call rotation. Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor at all times. Strong attention to detail and timeliness. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively with a low degree of supervision. Requirements

  • Current, active driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and a reliable vehicle.
