Apartment Management Professionals, LLC (AMP Residential) is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Central Park Place! This apartment community has 216 units and is located in Grand Rapids, MI. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive and comfortable condition. This individual will maintain relationships with other service staff, residents and vendors. Some key responsibilities will include providing the highest level of customer service, make regular inspections of grounds and buildings as part of a preventative maintenance plan, complete service requests and assist with the apartment make-ready process. The maintenance technician reports directly to the maintenance supervisor.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in property management/facilities maintenance required
  • Hard worker who is team oriented, positive attitude
  • Valid Driver's License with auto insurance
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Must be available after hours and weekends for on-call responsibilities (rotated schedule)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by making any necessary repairs
  • Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service
  • Follow preventive maintenance guidelines
  • Maintain property grounds
  • HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests
  • Team work to achieve property goals
  • Follow safety procedures
