About The Position

Maintenance team members troubleshoot, repair, replace, install, and test car wash related equipment to ensure customers receive a safe and valued experience. Maintenance Team Members report to a District Manager.

Requirements

  • Maintenance experience is required to be considered for this position.
  • Work up to 40 Hours per week
  • Work 5 days a week – Most days will be 5A – 1P
  • Night projects will be shared evenly amongst the entire Maintenance Team
  • Each Maintenance Team Member is required to work a minimum of 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays a Month
  • Participate in the On Call rotation shared evenly amongst the Maintenance Team by answering when you are on call and going in to help locations as directed by a District Manager or Area Director.
  • Ability to deal with practical problems and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to perform basic math such as: adding, subtracting, and dividing all units of measure.
  • Ability to read product manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; using correct English; Speak with poise and confidence and/or effectively deal with customers.
  • Basic proficiency with the following Microsoft Office applications: Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and use our inventory (Parts on Hand), ordering (ReQlogic), and project management (Fix It Book) systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Mike’s Mission, achieve our Vision, and deliver on our Team Member Promise. This includes being a “role model” for our managers’ and associates’ behavior and performance.
  • Reduce Wash Downtime. Review Wash Shutdown reports when received. Evaluate causes of downtime and generate a game plan for preventing similar issues in the future. Discuss your game plan and findings with your District Manager. Ensure Fix It Books are updated daily. Update all Fix It Book items with a comment or a solution to ensure consistent communications with the respective location.
  • Prioritize Fix It Books entries by: Safety, Quality, Shutdown issues.
  • Communicate Effectively with District Manager. Complete a weekly 1 on 1 agenda and schedule a weekly meeting with your District Manager.
  • Maintain Location, Maintenance Van, and City Parts on Hand. Complete Part on Hand at each assigned location each month. Complete Maintenance Van Parts On Hand each month. Assist assigned locations with POH concerns. Communicate to the Maintenance Director any updates to the POH as needed.
  • Conduct Scheduled Manager Maintenance Training. Complete and submit a sign in sheet for attendance for each class and return to Payroll and Training. Participate in Manager Review boards when asked.
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.
