About The Position

The Maintenance Technician provides support for all activities related to physical plant and equipment. Responsible for maintenance and repair of all buildings, vehicles, equipment, and tooling.

Requirements

  • An energetic forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards.
  • An individual with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
  • A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
  • Associate degree or equivalent and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Train others in use of equipment, presses when required
  • Participate in technical training when required
  • Participating in machine/equipment buyoff when required
  • Responding promptly to production breakdowns
  • Performing preventative maintenance on all equipment per PM system
  • Ordering and maintaining spare parts and inventory
  • Setting up maintenance visits for equipment supplies/representation when required
  • Install new equipment and infrastructure for product launches
  • Pursue attaining us spare parts for all European, where applicable
  • Maintain building infrastructure, floors, safety systems, etc. A/C, heating
  • Assist production with troubleshooting part quality problems when necessary
  • Maintain P. O. log
  • Covering off shifts, production overtime when needed
  • Procuring supplies (leaving facility) from local vendors or vendor in surrounding counties when required
  • Required to operate fork truck, high lift, other large machinery, tools, power tools
  • Comply with all safety requirements lock/out, confined spaces
  • (Height regulations)
  • Ability to learn PLC programming/electrical trouble required
  • Check fire extinguishers once per month (check gage)
  • Tag chemicals with stickers
  • Check eyewash stations once per month.
  • Change water on eyewash station at Phoscoater every six months.
  • Complete required checks to ensure environmental compliance.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure that pollution (i.e. water, air emissions, oil leaks, etc.) is minimized.
  • Responsible for working all hours required to support production needs, maintenance projects and customer demands, including daily or weekend overtime when deemed necessary and appropriate
  • Effectively perform any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary and appropriate.
