Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record and reliable transportation.(REQUIRED)
  • Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general carpentry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, perform physical tasks, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Technical training, trade school preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to pass a CORI
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English is required.
  • Basic computer skills such as using apps on a smart phone and ordering supplies online is REQUIRED.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds or more on occasion may be required.
  • This position may require standing, sitting, or kneeling for long periods of time and occasionally require working in hard-to-reach are.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field preferred.
  • Technical training, trade school preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving the trash truck to each building, working with on site staff to collect trash.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Assist with apartment turnovers, repairs and installations as needed, including light plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks
  • Follow safe work practice guidelines with among on-site staff and contractors.
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the property, including buildings, facilities, and grounds, both indoor and outdoor.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment, appliances, and systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the property remains in excellent condition.
