About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing production machines and facility equipment. They ensure operations run smoothly and safely by performing a variety of skilled mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years in manufacturing maintenance, with proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Technical proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems.
  • Ethical conduct and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Results-driven with a proactive approach to maintenance problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
  • Experience with vacuum furnaces or boilers is advantageous.
  • Experience with PLCs and HVAC preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair production machines and facility equipment.
  • Conduct emergency and scheduled maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Perform mechanical duties including machining, welding, and using hand/power tools.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose issues, replace parts, and make adjustments to ensure equipment efficiency.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines and plant facilities.
  • Maintain plumbing and carpentry systems as needed.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.
  • Coordinate with external technicians for complex repairs.
  • Document maintenance activities and communicate with supervisors on equipment status.
