Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Welding (Arc and Tig).
  • Plasma cutter and acetylene torch experience.
  • Understanding and knowledge of tools used in maintenance.
  • Millwright.
  • Computer- experience in Microsoft applications and a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Work in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts (days, nights, holidays, and weekends) and overtime.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
  • Must wear protective equipment, including the ability to wear a respirator.
  • Be able to work in a smoke and tobacco free environment.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
  • Lift up to 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain manufacturing equipment by checking, testing, troubleshooting, and replacing faulty mechanical components; perform running adjustments, repairs, and overhauls as needed.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance while ensuring all work complies with safety rules, plant policies, and PPE/permit requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, manuals, and procedures to guide repairs and fabrication.
  • Use hand, power, and shop tools—including welding and machining—to repair, maintain, and fabricate parts for safe and efficient equipment operation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical/electrical technicians and production operators to troubleshoot issues; participate in major installations with other trades.
  • Operate forklifts, aerial manlifts, and similar equipment; perform tasks requiring climbing, bending, crawling, and maneuvering into various positions.
  • Complete other mechanical/maintenance duties as assigned, including determining pipe specifications and alternative procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
