About The Position

POSITION: Maintenance Technician SUMMARY: Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing emergency/unscheduled repair of production equipment to support production. Performs scheduled maintenance of equipment as necessary. Emergency repairs of equipment may alter break and lunch times, however break and lunch times will be given. Thorough preventive maintenance checks will be performed on a routine schedule. Performs repairs including, but not limited to, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Comply with ISO guidelines, OSHA Safety and Health regulations, and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Maintain Plant buildings and grounds to include but not limited to plumbing, painting, mowing, and other ground maintenance. Performs other related duties and assignments as required. Requirements

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a self-directed environment efficiently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently
  • Willingness to learn and keep up with current technologies.
  • Ability to crouch, crawl, climb ladders, operate man lifts, and work at various heights
  • Good basic math skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematic reading and understanding.
  • Knowledge of mechanical concepts.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Requires minimum 2 year degree in Mechanical/Electrical field or in the process of achieving degree or equivalent work experience.
