About The Position

Horizon Management Services, Inc. provides third-party property management services. We have extensive experience in: Affordable & Market Rate Senior Communities Affordable & Market Rate Multi-Family Communities Commercial Properties Our Service Technicians are critical to the safe, well-running and attractiveness of our properties. This position will support Fortitude (65 units) and The Wheatley Apartments (82 units) in Milwaukee, WI. This position does require on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum three (3) years fulltime maintenance experience
Licenses: A valid driver's license and current automobile insurance is required. Travel to job sites is required. Reliable transportation and insurance.
Own tools. While we will supply some of the more unique tools; you must have your own day-to-day tools

Bilingual in Spanish - helpful

Responsibilities

Corrective Maintenance by completing work requests
Assist with apartment make-ready such as painting, cleaning, replace/replace appliances, plumbing/electrical as able, vendor management, drywall repairs, etc.
Assist with snow removal as needed
Preventative Maintenance
Emergency maintenance - this is a rotating schedule with 3-4 other area Service Technicians
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment and supplies
Establish and maintain good relations with residents, prospective residents, vendors and co-workers.
Assist outside contractors when services are required
Picks up trash on property by assisting others in maintaining cleanliness and safety of the property
