About The Position

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment and electrical controls within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of production machinery while supporting continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining accurate inventory of electrical parts, and contributing to the development of preventative maintenance (PM) programs.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement devices
  • Ability to calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain instruments using certified test equipment (multimeters, loop calibrators, HART communicators)
  • Proficient in industrial electrical systems, including 120/240/480V power distribution, motor controls, MCCs, VFDs, and control panels
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, loop diagrams, P&IDs, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-based control systems, including I/O, sensors, actuators, HMIs, and basic network communications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
  • Ability to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electromechanical systems
  • Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation failures to determine root cause and implement permanent fixes
  • Knowledge of safety standards and codes, including LOTO, OSHA, and hazardous area practices where applicable
  • Experience with equipment commissioning, startups, shutdowns, and process changes
  • Ability to use and maintain accurate records in a CMMS, including work orders, calibration records, and spare parts usage
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and control systems in a manufacturing environment while complying with all safety standards and codes
  • Diagnose equipment issues by reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical manuals
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical & electrical systems to maximize uptime and reliability
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, retrofits, modifications, and new installations, including mechanical alignment, wiring, and commissioning support
  • Assist in equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Manage and maintain spare parts and electrical/mechanical inventory
