About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision. South Sound Behavioral Hospital (SSBH) is a 138-bed facility in Lacey, WA, specializing in mental health and substance use disorder treatment. Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions
• Must have experience in the area of building maintenance and basic mechanical engineering
• Must have complete knowledge of physical plant within two weeks of hire

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Two years of technical or trade school preferred
• Experience with painting preferred
