About The Position

Sumitomo is looking for a full time experienced Maintenance Technician to join our New Berlin, WI team. With limited supervision and technical guidance, keep plant machinery and mechanical in good working order. Perform intermediate troubleshooting and problem-solving of various manufacturing machines.

Requirements

• Ability work under limited supervision with minimal technical guidance
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.+
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
• Three years preventive and predictive industrial maintenance experience
• General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools

Nice To Haves

• HVAC skills and experience preferred
• Strongly preferred candidates have previous experience with CNC grinding equipment such as; Walter, Ewag, Rollamatic, ANCA, Waida, etc.

Responsibilities

• Examine machines to diagnose trouble, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
• May occasionally make replacement parts
• Cleaning filters and elements and completing general PM on coolant systems and mist collection components
• Changing or adding oils and lubricants to production equipment
• General cleaning and organization of tools and maintenance area
• May need to provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff
