Maintenance Technician Maintenance Technician is responsible for helping maintain our facilities and ensure they are operating efficiently. Medical, dental and vision insurance 401k with company match Employee assistance program Top Reasons to Work with Us Family-owned and operated management company Team approach to work Smaller by design – Vantage Point is not a big national chain and that means more corporate involvement and support of the team Make a difference in the lives of those who live with us Description of responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance duties including fixing wall and/ or floor coverings, repairing furniture and fixtures, basic plumbing, minor electrical repairs, repairing appliances, painting, and refurbishing projects Complete work orders in a timely manner Assist with preventative maintenance program Complete apartment turnovers Perform carpet and hard surface floor maintenance Assist with housekeeping as needed Assist with Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures Maintain emergency call system Drive company vehicles as needed On-call for building emergencies Perform other duties as assigned Required experience: High School Diploma/GED Technical school education preferred One (1) year maintenance or housekeeping experience preferred Required skills: Must have basic technical knowledge (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance) and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment Basic knowledge of construction principles Must possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, and life and safety regulations Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Interest in working with a senior population Demonstrated customer service skills Ability to handle multiple priorities Organization and time management skills Good judgement, problem solving, and decision-making skills Must be able to work independently Who Is Vantage Point Retirement Living?
