The Maintenance Technician ensures continued production operations by performing preventive maintenance, general maintenance, and emergency service, with a strong emphasis on electrical components. This role ensures the site facility and equipment are in proper working order while adhering to all specified rules and regulations. The technician must possess extensive mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic experience, and be capable of basic stick and wire feed welding, fabricating, and electrical troubleshooting with a general knowledge of controls. Responsibilities also include installing and moving machinery, performing lockout/tag out procedures according to OSHA standards and company policies, and working effectively both independently and as part of a team. The technician is expected to follow directions from leads, supervisors, and managers, maintain good housekeeping practices, learn and use Maintenance Management systems, and read blueprints.
