About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift (10:00pm - 6:00am) to join our team located in Cambridge, OH . The Maintenance Technician will ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement. We Offer You! Assisting in the implementation of new equipment and equipment improvements. Performing thorough work and follow-through on the repairs through feedback from internal customers. Communicate with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and perform sustainable solutions. Must be able to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V. Must know how to properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM). Continually coordinate equipment updates, and operational issues with off shift maintenance personnel and other team members as needed. Attend outside training and seminars for continual education. Your Credentials: 2-3 years of maintenance experience preferred. Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components. Working with PLCs, HMIs, safety controllers, etc. to improve overall plant automation efforts. Interpret electrical schematics Ability to pass Electrical fundamentals required. Requirements

  • 2-3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components.
  • Working with PLCs, HMIs, safety controllers, etc. to improve overall plant automation efforts.
  • Interpret electrical schematics
