Maintenance Technician (Thursday–Monday | Events & Tasting Room Support)
About The Position
Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyard is a premier destination in Virginia’s wine country, known for its vineyards, gardens, and high-level hospitality. They operate a large, guest-facing property with a busy tasting room and a full wedding and event program. The company is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to be onsite during their busiest service periods, supporting tasting room operations and weddings in real time. This role is not behind-the-scenes; the technician will be working during peak guest hours, troubleshooting issues as they happen, and ensuring the property runs smoothly during live service.
Requirements
- Proven experience with HVAC and commercial kitchen equipment is required
- Strong troubleshooting skills (ability to diagnose and act quickly)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
- Able to communicate and interact professionally with staff and guests
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hospitality, commercial, or multi-building environments
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, commercial kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
- Provide onsite support during peak hours (especially weekends)
- Quickly assess issues, fix what you can, and escalate to vendors when needed
- Handle preventative maintenance and daily upkeep across the property
- Support events by ensuring all systems are operational before and during service
