Requirements

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • 5 year experience in programming and maintaining manufacturing equipment in manufacturing environment.
  • Training in machine tool maintenance.
  • Familiarity with vacuum or atmosphere furnaces.
  • Experience working with Fanuc robot/control, ABB robots and A-B plc is plus.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

  • The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly mixed duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain various production and facility equipment such as CNC controls, vacuum furnaces, plasma sprayers, EDM machines, laser, and supporting equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills required.
  • Ability to perform both electrical and mechanical work to makes emergency repairs from basic hydraulic to complex CNC machinery to limit excessive downtime and production delays.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and ladder diagrams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot programmable logic controllers and associated computer network system.
  • Ability to work with Fanuc controllers and Allen Bradley PLCs and a wide variety of process control devices.
  • Collect and analyze data to perform root cause analysis of production equipment problems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, oscilloscope and modern test equipment as required.
  • Order and maintain critical spare parts and supplies.
  • Follows proper lock out/tag out procedures as required.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Maintain safe work practices at all times.
  • Ensure good housekeeping in area where working.
  • Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • Must be team-oriented with the ability to work with others including engineering, quality, managers, operators, etc.
  • Follow all 6S practices and supports continuous improvement activities.
