About The Position

At Village Handcrafted Cabinetry, we take pride in every detail-both on the production floor and beyond. For over 30 years, our family-owned company has crafted premium custom cabinetry, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment is a critical part of our success. We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to help support our shop and office operations. This role is perfect for a dependable individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys creating a well-maintained environment for others. Candidates with previous facility maintenance experience are highly encouraged to apply. What You'll Do General Responsibilities Assist with a variety of tasks across both the shop and office areas. Maintain a flexible, team-oriented attitude and provide support wherever needed. Perform all duties with a strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. Shop Support & General Labor Perform daily interior and exterior cleaning duties to uphold facility standards. Assist with production processes as required. Sweep, vacuum, and maintain walkways, workstations, and break areas. Assist with wood grinding, scrap collection, and proper disposal. Operate a chop saw and assist with basic cutting tasks as needed. Organize job materials, ensuring proper placement and accurate labeling. Move materials, tools, and supplies safely between departments. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly follow all safety procedures. Maintenance Duties Proactively refill and restock essential supplies. Utilize basic carpentry skills to support facility needs. Assist with small facility maintenance tasks as directed by leadership. Other Tasks Assist in moving office furniture, tools, or equipment when necessary. Support special projects, seasonal cleanups (including outside working conditions), and facility improvement initiatives. Perform manual tasks for several hours throughout the day. Work extended hours as business needs dictate. Be willing to work in a shop environment, which may occasionally require getting your hands dirty. Perform any additional duties requested by shop or office leadership. And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail to ensure all areas of the facility remain impeccably clean.
Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
Capability to work efficiently under time constraints.
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Proficiency with basic hand tools.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Hardworking, reliable, and punctual.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Ability to understand Spanish is a plus.
