JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, systems, and facility assets to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance, identifies root causes of failures, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of maintenance or industrial technical experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as but not limited to; Company policy, procedure manuals, work instructions, and machine manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of maintenance and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Requires sitting, standing, frequent bending, stooping and stretching, ability to climb ladders; manual dexterity; the ability to distinguish letters; occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or vocational training (electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance).
  • Experience with PLCs, drives, sensors, and automation systems.
  • Welding, fabrication, or machining experience.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software.

Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance & Repair Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Diagnose malfunctions using testing equipment, technical manuals, and schematics.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and meet production goals.
  • Replace or repair defective components such as motors, sensors, bearings, valves, and belts.
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Conduct scheduled PM tasks according to maintenance plans.
  • Document all maintenance activities in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Inspect equipment for wear, alignment, lubrication, and safety compliance.
  • Safety & Compliance Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in safety audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Technical Support Assist in equipment installations, rebuilds, and upgrades.
  • Support production teams with machine startups, adjustments, and training as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering on reliability improvements and machine modifications.
  • Documentation & Communication Complete work orders accurately and on time.
  • Communicate equipment status, issues, and progress updates to supervisors and team members.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of parts and tools.
