Maintenance at Keystone Lodge and Spa is a blend of guest service, the ability to prioritize and execute, problem solving, and technical proficiency. Successful employees have the ability to make competent decisions while thinking of the customer's and resort's interests at all times. Using skill-based knowledge to perform assigned tasks in a professional manner at all times - with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality of work, hotel engineers conduct repairs and preventative maintenance across the trades - plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting/drywall, and commercial pools. Safety, communication, and professionalism are essential for succeeding and thriving in the role.

  • Conduct oneself with professionalism and integrity at all times
  • Assure property assets are maintained and operating as designed
  • Assure all work performed conforms to applicable federal, state, and local codes
  • Good grasp of one or more trade disciplines
  • Good knowledge of OSHA, MSDS, lockout/tag out procedures, boilers and water heaters safety operations
  • Complete preventative maintenance and Work Orders with relevant information
  • Provide training to maintenance staff when required
  • Coordinate projects with sub-contractors when required
  • Order and maintain required parts for stock for critical equipment for assigned areas
  • Follow all safety procedures, and alert supervisor and team of any unsafe conditions that may exist
  • Work with other departments and area managers as required
  • Respond to operational call requests (radio, telephone, email) promptly and record information as necessary
  • Work with company-provided hand tools and keep them in a safe functional manner at all times
  • Maintain required job logs as required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License
  • Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and controls, with a strong knowledge of computer systems
  • Maintain good attitude and people skills even during high-pressure situations
  • Ability to self-motivate
  • Ability to work either independently or as part of a larger team
  • Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial appliances including kitchen equipment and dishwashers
  • Familiarity with work order management systems
