About The Position

The maintenance technician will maintain everything mechanical inside the building with the exception of computers. Understanding the machinery and a maintenance schedule for them, keeping the schedule and maintenance records documented with ISO. Essential to the job is maintaining machines to a high standard required to meet the customer specifications. Effective communication with shop personnel is a must along with teamwork.

Requirements

  • A minimum Associate's degree or 5 years working experience in maintenance of machinery are required.
  • This position requires knowledge of both electrical and mechanical aspects of the machinery and use of computers, the understanding of machine Logic and components.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to assist in cost savings and efficient procedures.
  • Team player to facilitate the growth, safety and prosperity of the company.
  • Ability to write reports
  • Ability to effectively present information.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry and algebra.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of problems.
  • Excellent team player, troubleshooting abilities, and multi task.
  • two years’ experience in CNC machining in a manufacturing environment and 2 years of electrical experience within a machining environment.

Responsibilities

  • General Machine Maintenance including Oil levels, filters, Drive belts, Heidenhain Glass Scales and Machine Cleanliness.
  • Fill out necessary ISO 9001:2008 documents when applicable.
  • Use of computers for Email and internet for parts search and other supplies.
  • Contractor notification.
  • Weekly update on Machine Issues List.
  • Diagnose and Adjust/Repair machine issues in a timely manner.
  • Monthly Spindle Bearing and Accuracy Checks.
  • Spindle taper wear inspection.
  • Forklift and shop truck maintenance
  • Air Cleaners (AIR KINGS) filter replacement etc…
  • Air Compressors, oil levels, filters and drive belts etc…
  • Overhead Cranes, cables, controls etc…
  • HVAC-Spring and Fall Inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Roofs and Drains
  • Doors and Lighting, including Emergency Lighting.
  • Operate Machines as qualified when needed.
  • Help keeping the shop clean including garbage/recycling and restroom duties such as soap and assorted paper products.
  • Loading and Unloading Trucks when necessary.
  • Fire and Safety Inspections
