About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the college's facilities and grounds.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED AND one (1) year of experience.
• A high school degree or GED and One (1) year of experience in a skilled trade (electrical, carpentry, plumbing) or building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and associated hardware
• Installs, maintains, repairs, and renovates plumbing systems and fixtures
• Assists with renovation and carpentry projects as assigned
• Participates in the repair and maintenance of college equipment and vehicles
• Supports grounds maintenance, including landscaping, applying herbicides/pesticides, and maintaining parking areas
• Operates and maintains a variety of tools, equipment, and materials
• Maintains accurate records and maintenance logs
• Maintains fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and security systems
• Coordinates the work of maintenance and custodial staff as directed
• Responds to emergency repair requests
• Performs other duties as assigned
