About The Position

Executes preventive and predictive maintenance and associated repairs on all assigned equipment. Initiates and leads repairs due to unplanned plant breakdowns. Alerts supervisor of any safety, environmental, or mechanical efficiency issues that should be addressed immediately or scheduled at the next available opportunity.

Requirements

Highschool degree or equivalent required
2+ years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Familiarity in blueprints, schematics and properly written preventative maintenance routines
Ability to build trust and respect without relying on authority
Effective communicator

Nice To Haves

Experience in aggregates processing is ideal

Responsibilities

Comply with all health and safety practices and procedures
Provide detailed statuses of completed or on-going repairs, preventative and predictive maintenance
Comply with standard operating procedures and reporting/recording requirements
Assist contractors and ensure they have all repair instructions, PM documentation and parts to properly execute work
Assist maintenance supervisor in auditing the work done by contractors
Participate in training as provided and required by company directives
Perform high tech predictive maintenance utilizing tools such as the thermographic camera and ultrasonic tester
Clean and organize work areas after PMs and repairs are completed. Support operations team in keeping an overall clean and organized plant
Execute and ensure information in repair report is accurate, including root causes and parts usage
Responsible for the maintenance of all mobile equipment
Responsible for the care and safe usage of the large vacuum trailer and any other complex pieces of maintenance/cleaning equipment
May be responsible 1-2 days per week for operating the plant
