About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician , you will embody Nutreco’s "Own It" spirit by taking full accountability for the critical equipment that helps feed the world. You will execute both preventative and corrective maintenance across a diverse range of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, utilizing technical diagrams and your analytical expertise to troubleshoot complex malfunctions independently. Beyond just fixing machinery, you will collaborate closely with production teams and outside contractors to minimize downtime, while proactively ensuring a culture of safety and strict adherence to HACCP procedures. By managing your responsibilities with pride and precision, you will play a vital role in optimizing our facility's performance and ensuring we deliver on our global mission.

Requirements

  • Industrial Maintenance Expertise: Proven experience in an industrialized manufacturing environment with a deep working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems (up to 480), including pumps, valves, piping, and motors.
  • Diagnostic & Analytical Proficiency: The ability to interpret complex technical documents—such as P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) , blueprints, and engineering specifications—to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
  • Operational Independence: A self-starter mindset with the organizational skills to manage time and maintenance tasks independently, ensuring minimal production downtime without constant supervision.
  • Safety & Quality Leadership: A disciplined commitment to safety protocols and HACCP procedures, with the confidence to ensure that all co-workers and outside contractors adhere to these rigorous standards.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with production staff, engineers, and service technicians to solve problems and optimize facility performance.
