About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician with this company, you will routinely perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and components to ensure the continued safe, efficient, and effective operations of equipment used in the facility. This position also assists with maintaining parts inventory, organizing, and maintaining the maintenance shop, as well as inspecting and diagnosing malfunctions and breakdowns and performs repairs. This person must be able to take a proactive approach to preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and life. On a daily basis some of the equipment you will be working on are Extruders, Palletizers, VFD's, Heaters, Motors, Controllers, Forklifts, Cranes and Rigging as well as any other machinery and equipment to keep the facility up and running. They need a strong Electro -Mechanical troubleshooter and repairer who has done both corrective and preventative maintenance. While the job is 75% mechanical, they also need someone with 480 volt electrical experience and lock out, tag out experience. These are Monday - Friday First and Third shift roles that work in a hot and sometimes cold environment, so you must be OK with this. To cover for other technician's vacation time you will work 12 hour shifts during that time, and they will do the same for you. They have 2 techs on each of 3 shifts and they will train you on first shift until you are up to speed, then you will either move to 3rd shift or stay on first shift, depending on which you were hired for. They need a strong maintenance person who is accountable and dependable, someone who will own up to mistakes and do better next time. Great family run company that people go to work for and stay!

Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience as a maintenance technician
  • Ability to work in a fast -paced, high -speed environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Capable to work autonomously and as a team member
  • Capable of multitasking
  • Ability to make decisions within scope of role
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a forklift test
  • Accountable and dependable
